A fun and exciting route for riders who like a bit of a challenge, but may not have the time for a longer DALMAC adventure.
Friday: to Grayling High School – 65 Miles
3-Day East riders begin their DALMAC on Friday in Gladwin by heading North, deep into White Pine country, passing West of Houghton and Higgins Lakes for an ending in Grayling.
Saturday: to Inland Lakes High School (Indian River) – 54 Miles
On Saturday, riders head northwest on scenic tree-lined roads, following the shores of Otsego Lake, through Gaylord and all the way to Inland Lakes High School in Indian River.
Sunday: to Mackinaw City High School – 42/68 Miles
Sunday provides riders with a choice: taking the shorter, more direct route to the finish in Mackinaw City, 41 miles away, or following a 71-mile route crossing the Tip of the Mitt to Good Hart, where a fabulous lunch stop awaits. Riders will then join DALMAC riders from the West Routes riding North through Michigan’s Tunnel of Trees, overlooking Lake Michigan, before finishing in Mackinaw City.
Starting Location:
3-Day East route check-in will take place Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 5-7 pm, and Friday, August 30, 2024, from 7-9 am at the Gladwin High School, 1400 N. Spring St., Gladwin, MI 48624. Riders and other participants must be present at check in to receive wrist bands, rider packets, and sign a liability waiver if they have not already done so. The wristband serves as the participant’s access to meals, showers and other facilities. Registered riders and other participants must present picture ID to check-in. Riders will pick up any DALMAC Gear they purchased at rider check-in. You can park your car at Gladwin High School.
