A Challenging Route! Each day has a choice of either a shorter or longer route (100 miles or more laid out for century riders). Choose long or short, whichever you want to tackle each day or ride 4 days of century routes for a quad century DALMAC!
Thursday: to Vestaburg High School – 73/100 Miles
Riders leave the Michigan State University campus on Thursday morning, traveling north across farmland and through small towns. Riders will turn westward in Alma onto the Fred Meijer Heartland Trail for a smooth finish at Vestaburg High school.
Friday: to Lake City High School – 85/101 Miles
Day two includes even more, beautiful open spaces and small quiet farming towns rolling by before the finish in Lake City.
Saturday: East Jordan High School – 82/100 Miles
On day three, riders pass through Kalkaska and Alden on the way to East Jordan, with iconic West Michigan views and many picturesque spots for a photo break.
Sunday: to Mackinaw City High School – 82/101 Miles
The 4-Day West route culminates on Sunday, riding North via Harbor Springs on M119, to Good Hart for a fantastic lunch stop, through the picturesque “Tunnel of Trees” overlooking Lake Michigan to finish at the Tip of the Mitt in Mackinaw City. This day features a chance to climb “The Wall.” An alternate route allows riders not feeling their climbing legs to bypass “The Wall.”

The MSU Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education is a show arena, auditorium, meeting location, and exhibit hall located on the South side of the Michigan State University Campus. The street address is: 4301 Farm Lane, Lansing, MI 48910.
4-Day route check-in takes place Wednesday, August 30, 2023, from 5-7:00 pm and Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 7-9 am in the Pavilion. Riders and other participants must be present at check-in to receive wrist bands, rider packets, and sign a liability waiver if they have not already done so. The wristband serves as the participant’s access to meals, showers and other facilities. Registered riders and other participants must present picture ID to check in. Riders will pick up any DALMAC Gear they purchased at rider check-in.
Campground space at the MSU Pavilion the night of August 30, 2023, and Sunday September 3, 2023, is available for $20 for each night and can be purchased at check-in. Multi-day parking for DALMAC participants will be available in designated lots adjacent to the MSU Pavilion.
